Can I ride the horses?
Yes! Starting again in the Spring and continuing through Summer and Early fall, we will be offering walk only guided trail rides and pony rides through the park. These rides are available to the public regardless of experience level and require a reservation. We also have an extensive lesson program.
Can I rent a horse?
No, we do not rent horses.

Can I feed the horses?
Unfortunately, you cannot feed the horses

Can I work or volunteer at the Horse Center?
Applicants for employment should fax a cover letter and resume to 202-363-8767 or mail it to 5100 Glover Rd. NW, Washington, DC, 20015. Volunteers must be 14 years or older. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please stop in and pick up a volunteer application
Who owns the horses?
About two thirds of the horses are privately owned, and are boarded with us. The rest are owned by Guest Services, Inc., and are used for lessons, trail and pony rides, and therapeutic riding.
What kind of riding do you do there?
The majority of our lessons are English style, focusing on the principles of Hunter Seat equitation and Dressage. We also teach some lessons in Western/ Stock Seat equitation.
How do I get on the waitlist for boarding?
Our wait for a stall is approximately five years. To put yourself on the waitlist, please send an email to horsecentermgr@guestservices.com attn: Amber with your name, phone number, mailing address, and the age and breed of your horse if you know it.
