 Rock Creek Park Horse Center is now offering one-day riding clinics on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer season. Clinics are available for riders of all levels and will be taught by professional instructors, specialized in their curriculum. Reservations are required and can be made by calling our front desk at 202.362.0117.
THE ENGLISH EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE
For teens and adults interested in getting a hands-on experience with grooming, tacking and riding – this introductory course provides a little of everything! Offered on various Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer, the two-hour lesson will incorporate instruction on ground care and horsemanship, a half hour riding lesson, and a half hour guided trail ride through Rock Creek Park. Perfect for those interested in learning to ride and enjoying an across-the-board experience. Weight limits may apply.

TROTTING CLINICS
For beginner riders looking to perfect their trotting skills—these clinics will focus on mastering rising diagonals while maintaining a solid equitation. Riders will work on walk/trot transitions, refined steering, and trotting patterns. Ideal for those interested in moving on to the canter.
$50 per rider

CANTER CLINICS
For intermediate to advanced riders interested in working on their canter—clinics will include lead identification, balance, equitation patterns, transitional and lateral work, with supplementary dressage instruction. This course is recommended for riders already comfortable at the canter who are looking to refine their current strengths and abilities.
$50 per rider

JUMPING CLINICS
For intermediate to advanced riders aspiring to perfect their jumping position, aids and techniques—clinics will provide individualized attention and instruction with the opportunity to work on basic jump courses and patterns. Riders are required to have significant experience at the walk/trot/canter/jump.
$50 per rider
